Many people can offer cosmetic dentistry, but there are few who can offer bespoke treatment and care on the level we promise at The Perfect Smile.
Below are some of the ways that we stand out as cosmetic dentistry providers:
Experienced staff: Applying veneers requires skill, knowledge, experience and precision. We don’t believe this is a treatment everyone should offer.
We have several highly skilled dentists, many of whom have over 20 years of experience and have received accredited awards for their dentistry.
Quality products: In order to save money, some dentists are not using high-quality enamel or tools during the dentistry procedures.
This has colossal effects on the effectiveness of treatment. At The Perfect Smile we use high quality materials in order to provide reliable, lasting results.
Patient centred-focus: For us, communication is key. It is vital for dentists to know exactly what patients desire with their teeth, but equally important for treatment information to be made transparent for patients.
Our patients come from London and the surrounding areas: Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertford and Cambridgeshire.
BACD Regulations
The British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry was set up in 2003 by a group of leading practitioners in order to share their knowledge with others, and raise standards in cosmetic dentistry.
So far, it has fewer than a thousand members, even though membership is open to all the profession who pay the joining fee.
I strongly believe in the usefulness of this organisation and I am an accredited member of the BACD, with recognition of excellence in dentistry. Staying connected to other dentists in the field helps us learn more and stay on top of the best ways to provide treatment.
What can you do to ensure the highest likelihood of successful veneer treatment?
Visit several dentists: this is a sensible route to finding out what treatment is best for you, you can ask to see photographs of their work and get a good feel for the dynamic in the practice.
Some dentists use photographs provided by labs or companies that make porcelain, rather than actually taking the photographs themselves, so be cautious and make sure your chosen dentist is trustworthy.
Refer to testimonies and personal recommendations: one of the most reliable sources of information on whether or not a dentist is trustworthy is their previous patients’ testimonies.
Additionally, if you have family or friends who have had veneers and were happy with the treatment procedure and results, then find out who their practitioner is.
Consider price: although the price of veneers may seem expensive, you should be cautious of any treatments that cost less than £500.
Unless your dentist has arranged a specific deal with you, it is unlikely anything below this price will cover the costs needed for a good laboratory and the necessary attention to detail.
