What Are Veneers?

Teeth can become worn, chipped, cracked or discoloured over time.

Veneers can replace the surface of your teeth for an instant smile makeover that improves your appearance and betters your oral hygiene making your mouth more healthy and often relieving symptoms caused by tooth decay, sensitivity and gum disease.

Dental veneers are wafer-thin, custom-made shells of tooth-coloured materials designed to cover the tooth’s front surface to create and achieve fantastic natural-looking results.

These shells are bonded to the front of the teeth changing their colour, shape, size, or length. With the latest dental technology, veneers can be made to look exactly like natural tooth enamel.

Dental Veneers Have an Incredible Appeal

White porcelain veneers are perfect for improving the appearance of your teeth. Most importantly, dental veneers are stain-resistant. The porcelain coating doesn’t stain like natural teeth, ensuring your captivating smile doesn’t fade.

Crooked, chipped or discoloured teeth can seriously cause low self-esteem and confidence issues amongst UK adults. Porcelain veneers are becoming a fast, effective, long-lasting solution to achieving a fantastic smile.

The treatment is becoming increasingly popular as new patients learn more about the treatment process and discover how relaxed and comfortable it can be.

A root canal infection occurs when the bacteria naturally occurring in the mouth reaches the dental pulp within the teeth. … If a tooth with a veneer becomes infected, the porcelain veneer will need to be removed to perform an endodontic procedure.

Veneers Are Considered a Quick Way to Restore Smiles

Veneers are very thin layers of composite resin or porcelain which are applied directly to the teeth to create a perfectly shaped, natural smile with whiter and stronger teeth.

Each veneer is shaped and applied individually, creating a completely personalised new smile.

In as few as two appointments, you can have your veneers designed and fitted and ready to go. If you choose immediate veneers, you can even be ready in one appointment.

During your consultation, we will examine the condition and state of your oral hygiene in order to diagnose any disorders or issues that might make your veneer treatment unsuccessful.

For example, patients diagnosed with a root canal infection, which happens when bacteria in the mouth reach the dental pulp.

If a tooth is infected, it can lead to implications that will need to be fixed.

Why Choose Dental Veneers?

Dental veneers are the secret to the perfect smile – they can treat a whole variety of dental issues such as:

Veneers can also be used to make teeth look longer, more comprehensive, narrower, shorter, brighter, whiter, and mask large areas of decay or fillings.

The treatment can also fix oral concerns like tooth sensitivity, enamel loss, gum disease, and decay.

How Do Veneers Improve Your Smile?

  • They cosmetically enhance the look of your teeth
  • They instantly change your appearance
  • Have whiter looking teeth, veneers also give crooked teeth the illusion of being straight
  • Veneers are more resistant to stains than natural teeth
  • They are a less invasive option than porcelain crowns
  • Nearly impossible to tell the difference between veneers and natural teeth
  • Veneers protect the underlying tooth

Which Type of Veneers is Best for You?

We offer a range of veneers:

COMPOSITE VENEERS

  • Immediate Veneers  best for fast results, can be fitted in a single visit, most affordable option

PORCELAIN VENEERS

  • Lumineers – No drilling necessary, bonded directly to teeth and quick recovery
  • Ultrathin veneers – Incredibly thin, require very little tooth preparation, bonded directly to teeth
  • Durathin Veneers – No-prep, very thin veneers, fitted in two appointments

The Trial Smile is a provisional temporary smile placed on prepared teeth.

It allows you to “test-drive” your new smile and make adjustments before the permanent cosmetic dentistry is completed.

This extra stage in your smile makeover ensures our clients are 100% satisfied with their veneers.

Feel more confident than ever with a beautiful, natural-looking smile. Many people feel self-conscious about their teeth and may even avoid smiling or eating in public out of embarrassment.

Does this sound like you? You are not alone!

In fact, the latest studies show that 44% of Brits claim they are unhappy with the appearance of their teeth and over 58% plan to undergo cosmetic treatments (source: dentistry.co.uk, 2019).

Pain-free Treatments

Veneers are usually not painful whilst you are having the treatment.

However, some have reported slight sensitivity during the settling down after the final fitting – this is quite normal and nothing to worry over. It usually only lasts for a few days and very soon after subsidies. More.

The sensitivity is due to the bonding process where an inorganic substance (the veneer) bonded to an organic component (your tooth).

In complex cases, involving a large amount of treatment, you may experience a little uncomfortableness while your teeth settle down.

Treatment Plan
  • At your first appointment, your dentist will look at the general health of your teeth and gums, your bite and understand your goals for your smile; and then see if any fundamental issues need addressing before cosmetic veneer work can begin.
  • We will also discuss the type of veneers that may be suitable and how many veneers you’ll likely need to achieve your desired smile. In some patients, it may be possible to get some veneers placed at an initial phase and then have the possibility of additional shells in the future.

Minimal or No Preparation
  • We will always plan your new smile before any treatment begins. We aim to provide you with the most conservative and preservative dentistry.
  • To prevent excessive tooth preparation, we design your new smile in a way that minimises tooth preparation. We also provide options to have orthodontic or teeth straightening treatment carried out before any cosmetic veneer work starts.
  • Your teeth are already well aligned, so very minimal or hardly any tooth preparation becomes necessary.
  • If you are concerned, we advise that you speak to us in your complimentary consultation. We will be able to provide you with suitable solutions. More.

Veneer Costs

Treatment Cost
£600 to £750 per tooth
£600 to £750 per tooth
£850 to £950 per tooth

Benefits include:

  • Non-invasive treatment: requires little tooth preparation beforehand, so teeth are not weakened.

  • Drill-free: Drills are only used sparingly to help with bonding.

  • Customised, patient-specific smile: Veneers can be used along with other subtle changes in your smile or a complete set of veneers and create a more extreme smile makeover. All treatments will leave you with a beautiful straight smile.

  • Impressive cosmetic results:  We use porcelain material to create beautiful aesthetic results. Ultrathin veneers are a unique and popular cosmetic dentistry solution.

  • Does not increase teeth sensitivity: Since hardly any enamel is removed, you are less likely to experience sensitivity in your teeth post-treatment.
