Dental Implants Falling Out is Rare
Read all the reasons why an implant might fail:
An implant can fail if the bone does not attach itself to the implant in the first place – this is where the experience and skill of the implant dentist come in.
Surgical procedure: this needs careful monitoring to ensure the implant’s foundation is correct before any further treatment.
Suppose there is not enough time left from surgically placing the implant in the bone to the artificial tooth (crown, bridge or denture) on top. In that case, bite forces occurring during chewing food can destabilise the implant, which cannot sustain such pressure and so “breaks away” from the bone.
Our dentists ensure that the bone and implant have made the proper connection (osseointegration) of both a structurally and functional level before final teeth construction is carried out.

In cases where the bone quantity or quality is insufficient, bone grafting procedures may become applicable.
“In most cases Implants require sufficient bone to form around it to stabilise it. Bone grafting may be needed if the patient hasn’t got enough quality or quantity of bone.” Dr Gurs Sehmi
