How Much are Braces?

Price Guide For All Adult Brace Types in the UK

Braces are most commonly prescribed to patients experiencing overbite issues, overcrowding and other bite conditions.

Whilst you can live with conditions like an overbite, letting it go untreated has been known to cause serious consequences to the teeth, mouth and overall health.

Therefore, it’s best to correct bite issues like overbites to achieve a healthier, straighter smile to avoid conditions like gum disease, excessive wear and tear and even tooth loss.

Straightening Appliances

Have you wondered, for example, how much does a clear brace system cost? Or what different types of adult braces are on offer?

The below will answer this for you. Each of the treatments fixes overbites, crossbites, underbites and crooked or overcrowded teeth:

  • Length of treatment: 1-2 years

  • Corrects: Mild bite problems
  • Benefits: Seamless, fast and discrete

the secret to looking younger

How do these options compare to metal braces?

Referred to as “train tracks” or traditional braces, these conventional straightening systems can cost £1,500 to £2,500 in private practices. Prices can differ with the NHS – however, if you are over the age of 18 you can expect to pay for treatment.

Whilst metal braces retain high success rates they are reported to be uncomfortable and restrictive.

In comparison, more modern versions for Invisalign, which has advanced greatly to treat severe overbites, can straighten teeth faster and still promote a healthy oral condition.

This is because they are removable and not fixed.

If, for example, you were looking for a minor tooth straightening system that provides a discreet option, clear or invisible aligners might be better suited.
