Fluorosis & Discoloured Teeth
There are a few common and basic treatments to treat fluorosis and discoloured teeth.
Treatments include:
- Teeth whitening (fix stains)
- Dental bonding (using a hard resin to coat the teeth)
- Crowns/veneers
In many cases, ceramic veneers tend to be the most recommended choice for moderate cases of fluorosis.
Ceramic veneers boast a wealth of benefits and are the first choice of many because of their wear resistance, how they look and feel and their durability.
The patient had requested porcelain veneers for her treatment, which were perfect for concealing the small staining of her upper top teeth.
It was in this instance, that six veneers were applied to her front teeth to hide her problem area. Minimal preparation of the teeth was required.
