Shivani Patel

Starting out as a beauty therapist Shivani has understood the importance of cosmetics and facial enhancements. She subsequently worked as a dental nurse that helped her to recognise the importance of patient care. However, it was only when she qualified as a Dental Therapist and Dental Hygiene Therapist from the Queen Mary College University of London, did she really feel that she was now equipped with appropriate skills that enabled her to provide a more comprehensive approach to dentistry. Her valuable contributions to our dental practice are appreciated by both the team and our patients.

She is now one of the most highly sought after dental hygienists and is able to carry out a number of treatments to a high standard of dentistry including teeth whitening and restorations. These treatments range from simple to more complex solutions and Shivani is competent on all levels. Her philosophy is minimal intervention dentistry thus helping to preserve her patient’s natural tooth tissue.

Her hygiene therapy clinic involves gum evaluation and assessment as well as a variety of periodontal treatments. She works in close collaboration with our dentists and periodontists on all aspects of the periodontium.

Shivani is also trained in EMS Airflow system which is a guided biofilm therapy for professional teeth cleaning.
