Signature Care Assessment

This assessment is our signature 3-4 hour most comprehensive and detailed assessment, examination and evaluation.

It is highly recommended for those who wish to have a smile makeover with our treatments – a specific smile design or advance dentistry such as dental implants.

It involves detailed understanding of your mouth so that we can customise your treatment plan to suit your specific needs.

Our Signature Complete Care Comprehensive Dental Assessment helps us to formulate treatment plans for complex cases such that require building dentistry onto a healthy and sound foundation.

Our dentists are focused on getting you back to health and correct functioning of your teeth to prevent future problems such as decay, deterioration of teeth or bad gums.

This includes many parts of our signature assessment, but is primarily focused on restoring your oral health.

A detailed evaluation is carried out of all aspects of the mouth including the structural integrity of the teeth, the biological status of the oral tissues, the health of your gums, the dynamics of jaw movement and a bite analysis.

Your Assessments Will Include Most of the Following if Indicated:

  1. Digital Photographs: We take photographs of your face, smile and teeth. They help us to communicate and make treatment plans to a high standard. We also provide Free Digital Imaging for our patients.
  2. Oral Cancer Screen: This allows us to assess soft tissues in the mouth to make sure that you do not have any suspicious-looking areas or ulcers in your mouth that can be serious.
  3. Digital Radiographs (X-rays): We will take the necessary X-rays to assess the health of your teeth and surrounding bone. We want to provide a healthy foundation and take NO CHANCES of missing any underlying problems. We may take a special scanning X-ray and close up small X-rays of individual teeth if indicated. We may use digital X-rays to enhance our diagnostic interpretation. Digital radiographs also minimise the radiation dose for X-rays.
  4. Study Models: These are replica moulds of your teeth that help us assess the shape of your teeth and your bite. By analysing how your teeth fit together and move when chewing, we can design dental restorations that provide optimal long-lasting results.
  5. Bite Analysis: We may, if indicated, use the most sophisticated computer technology available to assess the precision of how your teeth meet and work together. If you have a comfortable bite, there will be a better harmony in chewing, and your restorations will last longer.
  6. Smile Analysis: We use a comprehensive, detailed checklist to compare your smile to an ideal smile. By doing this, we know what changes to make to your mouth to make you look younger and better!
  7. Teeth Assessment: We review every tooth critically to ensure how strong each tooth is and how long it may last. We do not advise extensive and expensive treatment to a tooth if its prognosis or long-term outcome is not good!
  8. Gum Assessment: We check gum health by taking special measurements of your gums to identify the level of gum disease you have accurately. Treating this early and properly will ensure you maintain healthy gums and keep your teeth!
